The Bombers against Germany in WW II

The first bombs to fall on Berlin were dropped by the French on 7th June 1940 by Captain Daillieres and his navigator Comet, in retaliation for the German invasion of France. They took off with the Farman NC.223 at 15:30 hours and landed at approximately 05:00 hours. The Mosquito was a fast bomber, scout and pathfinder of the Royal Air Force. Due to the high speed, the German fighters offered little threat which meant that defensive armament could be reduced.
